What caused your EHS?

sake
What do you believe or know were leading to you becoming EHS? My history: When i was in my yuoth and childhood i never had problems with electromagnetic fields. Could sit in front of computers and huge crt monitors for hours without a single symptom. When i was in my late teens I started sometimes supplementing with multiminerals. Later on i started with other supplements some high in copper. At some stage  in the mid twenties i became sensitive to some laptops and tablets causing discomfort in stomach are and also some little head problems. 4 years ago i starte supplementing with much multimineral, drinking rooibush tea and stopping drinking tea and coffee as i could not tolerate it anymore. The supplement increased my copper toxity plus other things, rooibush maybe gave me fluoride and no coffe and tea decreased bileflow and detox of the body. Shortly after my EHS went fullblown. This is my belief of the causes. Whats your history and belief?

I also did once think that copper toxicity was the cause for me, as I was also taking a multi-vitamin, and had recently made some diet changes that increased my daily copper intake.  Also, when I had my first hair mineral test analysis, the copper levels were off the scale high (so high that my doctor dismissed them, but I made changes to my diet anyway).

However, I've also felt that mercury toxicity was also a cause, given my high exposure in the past (20 mercury dental fillings, allergy shots preserved with mercury for years, contact lens cleaning solutions preserved with mercury for years, eating a can of tuna every day for years).  Also, I did improve quite a bit when I treated this a mercury poisoning, and even 17 years later, I get somewhat ill from eating tuna (although the tuna from the health food store seems okay, and sardines are fine).

Hi Mark

How much better have you become and how affected are you now by emf? Can you talk for hours with mobilephones, wireless landline phones etc.without symptoms?

I'm much better than I used to be, but I cannot talk for hours on mobile phones... I don't even use mobile phones because they mostly cause me symptoms, and quickly.  However, I *can* be on my computer for hours without symptoms, and I couldn't do that before.

And it's difficult to generalize about tolerances, because some electronics don't cause me any issues at all, while other seemingly-similar electronics cause me terrible symptoms.

A recent case in point -- I've been using a Fujifilm X100 digital camera for years without problems.  Recently I bought it's replacement model, the Fujifilm X100S, which uses the exact same battery and for the most part looks the same as the X100.  However, I get terrible symptoms from it within MINUTES of use (and have now resold it on eBay).  Neither camera has any wireless functionality at all, so it must have something to do with the sensor, auto-focus, or other internal electronics.

Re: What caused your EHS?

Thank you.

Just found my hair mineral analysis report from here autumn 2013, after i got real harsh em symptoms. Copper is 6,5 (in clear toxic range)where ideal level is around 2,1  while the antagonists to copper are about 1/3 to half of ideal value. So double bad here because of the low antagonist levels. But magnesium is 0,6 when ideal is about 6 and calcium is 20 wjhen ideal is around 50. Of the toxic metals mercury is 0,03 where lowest toxic limit is 0,18, lead 0,1 lowest oxic limit 0,3, aluminium 0,8 where lowest toxic limit is 1,5. But it doesn't necesssary say much as i've read toxic metals only show up in the hair when the body starts detoxifying. I removed my mercury fillings 20 years ago and dont eat fatty fish only sardines which are low in hg.

I'm not a 100% sure I'm EHS, but I think it's definitely possible. I used to have bouts of anxiety behind the wheel until I started magnesium on a regular basis around 3 years ago. My interest in EMFs started when I read some stuff online and thought it might be good to check my place of work which turned out fine. I haven't given EMFs much thought in the last couple years. Then recently, I started feeling kind of weird-tightness in the head and sometimes chest. I started having headaches again on a more consistent basis where before I had one maybe once a month. It could be a coincidence. Maybe not. I bought a Ridgeline a couple months ago. I was fine at the time. In fact, I was so fine I forgot to check out the levels before I bought it. Doh! Again, I'm not 100% sure, but if the levels are 10-15 mg, who wants to take the chance? I might have to trade the sucker in.

I sat right next to an aquarium for hours in a row every day. Very very high magnetic and electric fields.
That started my problems. After that, I think commuting to work did the rest. 2hours+ on the train every day, with 20mG magnetic and 100-200v/m, and 2000+microwatts/m2 (over meter limit) RF at times.

I would wonder why the train would stop sometimes for medical emergencies and the ambulance had to come. Now I think it was the EMF.

Yes, I've never been on our local commuter electric trains, but it runs right by the freeway, and when it passes by I can feel it.  Also, if the AM radio is on, the EMF from it drowns out the stations.  I can't imagine what it must be like to be stuck on one of those for a longer period of time.

This train was diesel, but it had florescent lights and power plugs for laptops. Likely lots of dirty electricity.

But the worst was when it was completely full of people and everyone was using their phones.  I felt quite good when I took it in off peak hours, but not when it was quite full.

I have a feeling mobile emissions are 10x worse than electric and magnetic fields..

I'm not sure but I already had IBS, IC and Fibromyalgia so I think the fact that my system is so screwed up added to it.
I slep with an air cleaner close to my head to drown out outside noise for a few years, I have an idea that did it because I tested with a Meter once I found out about this stuff and the cleaner was off the chart

I worked as a programmer from 1976 to 1988 full time, driving to the clients for 3 to 4 hours in the car, evening watching TV to "relax"...

The big CRT's and power supply without Earth was probably the cumulative cause.
Working on 240 Volt and grabbing live wires a few times did me in; send me over the edge as far as I can see. Then Mercury fillings, lack of exercise.

Spin Inversion seems a big issue... Therapies don't work until you're back in a positive spin.

Took a long time to figure out where the headaches and migraines came from.
Now I can work at home on a laptop for 8 hours max with all shielded and twisted Ethernet and Power Cables...
Did a lot of heavy metal detox and emotional work...

Most people that I meet with EHS have a mix of symptoms...
Therapy may seem not relevant for EHS, but imho you need to address all possible causes to come to a stable healing position.

It seems to be as much a spiritual issue as a mere physical...

I've been wondering about this as well, but I think the spiritual/emotional issues are caused by the EHS in the first place, and not the other way around.  Me, and others have noticed that when we visit people and turn off their Wifi/Emitting devices, they are more relaxed and less tension is in the air, as there used to be in the past when we didn't know about turning off these devices.

I think having EHS can be pretty depressing to most people though, so we all have to work on that.. but even non-ehs people can have similar problems.

For me it was constant exposure to 5 cordless phone bases.   and then a couple of huge CT angio grams and other CTs ordered by my doc to find out what was wrong.

also using the Hulda Clark zapper would not have helped.  but I think the cordless bases in my home for 12 years (5 of them) were 80% of it.

people forget about cordless phone bases as they are old tech.  BUT THEY ARE EXTREMELY STRONG AND RADIATE ALL THE TIME.

I had a whole bunch of things going on that I think had a part in causing it for me. I believe I actually got better twice when I came down with sensitivies. It wasn't until the 3rd time and very prolonged exposure that the sensitivies got to a point where I just can't handle much anymore and didn't seem able to heal quickly and bounce back like I did the first two times.

The first time I developed the sensitivies I had a spiritual crisis that really weighed down on me, coupled with working in a bad emf environment, coupled with having a cell phone in my back pocket all day and sleeping with it under my pillow, coupled with a very bad emf vehicle, also sleeping too close to a wall (electric fields) with electronics plugged in and on the bed with me as well has using a wifi laptop on my lap.

Despite being bed ridden for a month after all this exposure combined with emotional turmoil going on... One day I just got out of bed and went on living again as usual and felt fine.

It wasn't until I started working more in that bad emf environment with my phone in my pocket and talking on cordless phones all day and then put the wifi router in my bedroom that I started having serious issues again. At this time I started to seriously change my diet to be more healthy and organic. And I started seeing a naturopath.

After moving to a new apt, and moving the wifi I felt slightly better, but then the issues started to get worse again. I finally figured out one day in a college class what was wrong with me. I couldn't tolerate the computer lab at the college. It finally occurred to me that the phones and electronics were hurting me. I started turning off all wireless and my phone and started sleeping in a faraday cage and using emf protection gadgets. I started to improve immediately and very much over the course of the next 6 months even though the environment i was in at my apt wasn't very clean. Then I went on a road trips and bought an xbox one and the exposure on the trip as well as using the xbox made me so ill as to put me back 6 months back to right where I was before I had started healing and doing better. Then I found myself sensitive to just being in the apt and got worse and worse. I found that I started to develop chemical sensitives that could at times be even worse that the sensitivies I had to emfs. I had no way of moving out of that enviroment for almost 2 years and I had to do as much as I could to try to heal despite the enviroment, even sleep in a bathroom because the readings were best in there.

Then I moved about 2-3 months ago to where I am now in a very clean environment. I am feeling much better as long as I don't go out too much. I can definitely see a big difference and can feel that I am healing much better now. But I will still get really sick if I go and stay anywhere near a cell tower for too long. I don't know how people can work in those environments for 8 hours a day. Some of these places I can see how bad they are now with my meters. I am seeing sometimes 500-1000 um/m2 AVERAGE readings with peaks of over 100,000 um/m2 (equivalent to 6 v/m). I get out of those places quick. I found that even church has readings like this and I just can't see myself staying for 2 hours in that environment and benefitting from it when I feel like I'm losing my mind being there with that kind of exposure. Biological effects start at 3.4 us/m2 average power... 500-1000 average on the meter is just insane.

About the Xbox, I thought at the time that it was okay because I was using a wired controller. I had no idea yet about electric fields. And the wired controller gives off such high electric fields that are higher than what my meters can read. I also didn't realize that it was giving off very high bursts of RF radiation about every 30 seconds. When I bought it I made the mistake of taking the readings for only about 20 seconds which wasn't long enough for me to see that it would ping every 30 seconds or so.

Hi I just registered here, here's my story. During my childhood up to adulthood I had no issues I knew of with EHS but I did play a lot of video games and was on a computer a lot just because I didn't tend to have much else to do. I started noticing something was wrong when I would say back in 2015 I was having issues with LCD and many LED screens making me uncomfortable. I wouldn't be able to sleep well and I got a headache. As I started working and travelling more to work it very slowly got worse and I didn't notice until I worked at my current job further down the road a year later and I just got sicker and sicker in RF/EMF fields in general until it was so bad simple exposure made my face burn and my brain just to put it in words felt like scrambled eggs. I would also get a swollen feeling in the neck, digestive issues and sometimes even the leg shakes if I spent too long at work on the worst days. I kept myself clean and had no other health issues.

Only recently over the past couple months have I started heavy herbal detoxing (combination of oregano, cilantro, sage, basil, and cinnamon incorporated into my food) and managed to get it down to a baseline but I am now extremely sensitive to especially RF radiation and I still experience extreme discomfort in certain areas with high smart anything use like a mall for example or a plaza right next to a tower. I don't exactly know what wi-fi falls under specifically but I react the worst to it the quickest. I can use a smart phone for a short period time before feeling ill. I recently had no choice but to move into a place where it's a big issue or it may be the bank of smart meters on the building. I don't know but I'm getting the signature RF swollen area of the neck feeling and digestive issues. I've moved the wi-fi as far away from me as possible and did what I can to minimize it but it's just bad here overall and the other person who lives with me looks at me like I have 5 heads. If I leave I'm fine, I come back here it's like a whole different world. Like I said I have no other health issues but whenever I'm exposed in the right way then I feel like I have a thousand.

You have WiFi in your home?.. There are ways to get routers to emit less with Tomato firmware, but I don't think any reduction will work if you have the WiFi in your home.  The person using the WiFi in the same home will radiate you quite a lot from their phones/laptop etc.  If you're as sensitive as you are, you should not have anybody using any wifi, not only in your home but even neighbors.

I can help you turn down your router or find one with lower emissions if you want.

Moving the router further away this morning helped somewhat, I'll just try to get some rest tonight and see how I feel tomorrow. But yeah see that's the problem, they don't wanna put it down despite me explaining how much we don't need it, and I don't have much control over it. Also surrounded by a lot more here. Plus it's from xfinity, I've looked in the settings and the only thing I was able to do is turn off some additional sharing broadcast. Seriously there is no way to just disable wifi, though when I was messing with it I accidentally enabled some mode that turned it off but then I lost all function from it altogether and had to call to have it manually reset on their end. Was a blissful, 20 or so minutes though and I saw rather quickly that was a huge chunk of the problem. Almost immediate relief from the body tightness and mental affects besides neck which can take a while to calm down if really affected. If you can help with finding a different router and giving a little how to on using a custom one that I have more control over that would be good. Don't know if who I live with would cooperate since they don't listen to me on anything regarding the matter but worth a try.

Plus this place also has 6+ smart meters on it making everything worse. I feel my major issue here is a combination of the two because at the old place the router was all the way across the house and downstairs but same person used it a lot on the phone and tablet though it wasn't as bad as it is here. If it helps in pinpointing exactly what I'm so sensitive to I also get the same thing from all microphones that I do with being too close to a powerful wifi router where distance actually does make somewhat of a difference in my case, literally can't even use one without getting messed up. Even the smallest USB headset I couldn't tolerate well. We only had 1 smart meter of course on that and the neighbors did too but at the typical distance between houses away and only one room was so bad with a metal facing me right across the yard for me I couldn't stay in it for too long. In there I felt it pulsing in my ears, body tightness, and head pressure mostly but I didn't get the typical brain scramble and neck tightness that I do with what I get from my wifi/microphone issue. From which I also get waves that feel like my hearing is distorted or ringing ears from the most.

I am still testing some routers to see which one has the lowest signal possible while still working good.
So far Asus RT-N12 D1 is good, but it spikes every minute or so to normal power for just a few milliseconds.. It also depends how big the place is as to how low you can turn it down.

It's the lowest power I was able to get though.  I may try another Asus tomorrow, .. but the RT-N12 is also cheap, others are more $$.  You'd probably feel some help with it when the settings are good, it can eliminate a lot of radiation.

I can give you a link to flashing the Tomato firmware on it and how to do it.. It's a bit technical though.  There is a recovery mode so it's impossible to mess it up for good,.. there is always a way to bring it back to life.

http://www.bxtra.net/articles/2012-12-23/how-to-flash-tomatousb-by-shibby-on-asus-rt-n12-b1c1-wireless-n-router

I use this firmware image:
https://www.4shared.com/file/_NgtX_Qbba/tomato-K26-12805115MIPSR2Toast.html

You just have to get it into recovery mode by holding the reset button while booting up for 10 seconds, then select the firmware file, and flash it.  Has to be done with IE only, no Chrome.

Then you have to manually set your IP address and gateway on your PC connection, log into the router, and set DHCP on because it usually comes off for some reason.  Then it's done..
The DHCP part is annoying, I'm not sure if other Tomato versions have it enabled by default, but I can check..
