My Story (in a nutshell)

Marc Martin
Administrator
Hi all,

I guess before we get too far, I should tell my own story. I've been a
heavy user of computers since 1985. Essentially, I've spent 40 hours/week
in front of them since then, and in the early 1990's I bought a home
computer, which just added to my exposure.

In 1999, I got some sort of chronic "flu" which refused to go away. The
doctors kept giving me more & more antibiotics, and at some point it became
obvious that the antibiotics were doing more harm than good, in that I
started getting environmental sensitivities and symptoms of a body-wide
fungal infection. I also became less and less tolerant of my workplace, in
that I became exhausted by the end of the day/end of the week.

After figuring out that computers & florescent lights were my problem, I
initially tried all the conventional solutions. I bought a glass EMF
shield for my monitor. I used an EMF meter to minimize my exposure. I
experimented with a variety of EMF shielding materials. I bought an LCD
monitor. None of this helped enough to make any difference.

Meanwhile, my overall health was terrible -- I was diagnosed with chronic
fatigue syndrome. My immune system was obviously not working, as I caught
every illness going around. I needed tons of sleep. I eventually got fed
up with conventional medicine and switched to alternative medicine. I also
started cleaning up my diet, switching from my old junk foods to more
organic, raw fruits and vegetables. I became a vegetarian.

A naturapath tested me for high levels of mercury in my system. I bought a
bunch of books on mercury poisoning, and one of them listed as one of the
many symptoms as being a hypersensitivity to electricity. This book said
that these symptoms would eventually go away if I had all of my metal
dental work removed and underwent mercury detoxification.

So I had my fillings out. Amazingly, a lot of my health complaints
disappeared that day, but the electrical sensitivity remained. And if
anything, it was worse than ever, as I could now only tolerate sitting in
front of my 15" LCD screen for 5 minutes at a time, using a regular corded
phone hurt my head, and I was bothered by the electricity inside the walls
if I stood up against them.

So, the next step was mercury detox. I went through a lot of "NDF", which
supposedly detoxed mercury gently with chlorella and cilantro. Also, at
about the same time, I saw a doctor who recommended that I try some EMF
protection devices from http://quantumproducts.com, as this doctor had
problems with electricity himself (it's actually amusing -- I've seen so
many health care people in the past few years that I've actually run into 4
of them who are electrically sensitive!)

So I tried a Quantum power strip. On day one, I had a huge surge of
energy! On the subsequent days, I became fatigued, recognizing these
symptoms as being the same detoxification symptoms I got when my fillings
were removed. However, with a few power strips and the Quantum Byte
software, I could finally tolerate my workplace for 4 hours/day, after not
being able to be there for 10 months.

The next 2 years I spent taking lots of supplements for detoxification,
rebuilding various organs which were impacted (adrenals, thyroid, etc.),
experimenting with a lot of EMF protection devices (which by themselves
have provoked much detoxification), and as I made progress, ramping up my
hours at work to fulltime, and ramping up my overall health & immunity back
to normal.

As it stands now, I don't take very many supplements, and the only EMF
protection devices I use now are called "Springlife Polarizers" (bought at
http://bioharmonics.com). I think I'm still in the midst of a longterm
detoxification process, but I think I'm past the hardest parts, as most
people consider me to be completely recovered.

Technically, I'm still electrically sensitive at this point, but the EMF
protection devices I'm using allow me to use a large screen CRT monitors
all day without adverse affect. I suspect that in a few years I won't even
need EMF protection devices at all, although I think it's probably a good
idea to continue using them, as my EMF exposure is definitely *way* above
average.

Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for detailed description of your case. I have CFS since 1989 and mercury poisoning due to improper removal of amalgams since 2001.
I was thinking that my mercury poisoning was severe. When I read your note I saw a difference between us. I am not so intolerant to my PC.I can stay in front of my PC in average 2-3 hours a day total(different times of the day) and don't have much observable problems with it.I know that I feel better the next day if I use less but at the time of using I don't have much symptoms. If I stay in front of it for about half an hour without giving a brake I may develop some discomfort at my head but this may also be partly due to my difficulty of concentration and eye problems due to CFS.So,looking at this, can we say that my mercury poisoning is not as much as what you had before detoxing.
Also I have another question.I have a strange problem at my brain since about a year time.Left side of my brain feels as if it is swollen. Sometimes it feels as if it will explode. I have this continuously for the last year. It stops me to think and reason normally. When it gets worse I can not make any creative and logical thinking.I live like a robot, being able to do the things I am accustomed to do like placing the dishes at dishwasher, etc. but no creative thinking.I can not gather the information together and find a result out of it.Last year I had to rent my flat and I could not decide on the rent value for 6 months.
my question is: Did you have anything like that before dotoxing.Does that sound like mercury poisoning symptom?I don't understand where this came from. None of my CFS friends have such a thing. I am thinking that it could have happened due to mercury poisoning? Do you have any idea?
Thanks
Nil

On the mercury poisoning list I've been subscribed to for the past few
years, I've seen several people report these symptoms. I do recall
having the "swollen head" and "not being able to think clearly"
symptoms myself, but after having my fillings removed and detoxing
for a short time they went away. I was using something called "NDF"
for mercury chelation, but was also using something called "Cellfood"
and "Microhydrin" at the time. Also the Quantum Products. So it
could have been any of these things which got rid of these symptoms
-- or perhaps none of them... it's hard to say.

I do know that EMF exposure and also Blue Green Algae and Chlorella
tablets made these symptoms worse.

Look around and see if there are mobile phone masts around.
Do you own your private phone mast in your living room?
Many people do. They have those wireless phones according to the
DECT/GAP standard. Those base stations transmit continiously 24
hours a day pulsed signals, whether you phone or not.
They can reach 300 meters and go through 20 cm concrete.
Check your neighbours. If they have one, talk to them.
At http://www.hese-project.org/Freiburger-Appell/Freiburger-Appell-
inhalt.html you can download the *Freiburger Appell* in any language
you want.
Print it and give it to your neighbours, and anybody interested.

At http://www.hese-project.org/New.html one can find all relevant
international studies on EMF.
The website is under construction and an enormous database is set up.

Although it's easy for me not to have a wireless phone in my
house, I think it's pretty impossible to control your outside
environment without moving. For example, I *know* there are
mobile phone antennas near my house. There are also power
lines. There are also TV and radio station antenna towers
within line-of-sight. And I'm sure my neighbors on both
sides of me have wireless phones, computers, etc. And don't
forget satellites sending signals down to Earth.

To me, avoidance & shielding is impractical (and impossible)
in such an environment. EMF protection devices on the
other hand can wipe out all these external sources. For
example, I know that there's something coming into to my
den -- it bothers me even if everything is turned off.
However, put an EMF protection device in there and everything
is fine. A simple solution. Much cheaper than moving.
The only problem is finding the right device that works
for you, but even if you bought 20 different devices and
tried them all, it'd still be cheaper than selling your
house and moving to a new one.

Charles,

That is great info.I am not native English speaker. I can guess but I don't exactly know what you mean by "mobile phone mast".I have one mobile phone in my living room.Do you mean signals of this phone can reach 300 meters?Yes,my symptoms started some time after getting it.It was sitting half a meter away from me and I always was getting strange sensation at my head while using it. Than after about 6 months of using it I decided not to use it but did not unplug it to be able to get the messages of the callers. It is now sitting at the most distant place at my home but still working. I also have cell phone station about 500 meters away from my flat.
I thank you very much for giving this info.I have already sent the copy of the Freiburger Appell to my friends.
Best regards.

I am soory Nil, but that is not good enough. As long as the
electricity is on this phone, the basa station keeps sending these
pulsed signals.
You must replace this phone with a normal one with a wire.
If it must be a wireless one, there are analogue phones. We call
them C1+. Those emit only a bit radiation when you phone, not when
not in use.

With phone masts, I mean those towers with antennas.

Hello Marc,
it is near impossible to shield against power lines.
But you cabn shield against high frequency radiation from outside
phone masts.
I do not agree with your reasoning.
Your EMF protection devices do work, but only against the
longitudinal waves, and by a certain level of electrosensibility.
By not shielding (f.i. the bedroom) against the transversal waves,
your electrosensibility will grow to a level, where your body acts
as a greater resonator than your devices can handle, and than they
are not working any more for you.
You have a false illusion of safety.
Those devices work as resonators and absorb the longitudinal waves,
but do not heal you.
By shielding your bedroom, your body can rest at night and
recuperate, slowly, but steady.
When the body thinks it is dark, it produces the hormon Melatonine,
which regulates a number of processes in the body. It makes stuff
against tumors. Women with breast cancer have a very low Melatonine
level, and someone found that suicides had a Melatonine level of
zero.
Now, hich frequency waves are seen by the body as light, and
therefore, not enough Melatonine will be made.
So, also therefore, it is important to shield the bedroom and have
it radiation free. We say 0,1 - 1 uW/m2 max.
Those towers can give you 2.000 to 20.000 uW/m2 and more, in your
rooms.
A DECT house-phone can give 2.000 to 20.000 uW/m2 also.
That is why I call it *your private phone mast*.

I find it amusing when people say these things, because my own
experience proves them incorrect. My ES symptoms were extreme
a few years ago -- I could not do anything. However, through
the use of these devices and nutrition my symptoms have been
steadily going away. And my tolerance is such that I can
now use a 21" CRT monitor all day. So I do not have a false
illusion of safety. It is you who have a false illusion
of danger. :-)

Oh wait, I have more to say on this message...

>Those devices work as resonators and absorb the longitudinal waves,

I have tried over 20 EMF protection devices over the past 3 years, and one
thing I know for sure is that they operate under many different assumptions
about why EMF is bad, and they clearly do different things. Your statement
above may be applicable to some of the devices, but it is certainly not
true for all of them. For example, the Springlife Polarizers have been
said to heal a variety of conditions, and are good for more than just EMF.
Also, based on my own reaction, I'd say that the devices based on the work
of Lakhovsky also are healing:

* Earthcalm Pendant (http://earthcalm.com/)
* Electromagnetic Pollution Rectifiers (http://bewisepolarize.com)
* Ray-X Button (http://www.bodymagnetics.com/prod10068-A.htm)

I have experience with all these devices. Do you?

I think the problem could also be either dosage or contamination. For
example, I have no trouble taking several superfood powders which list
Chlorella as a minor ingredient. And I found that taking a few drops of
the mercury chelator NDF (http://healthydetox.org/ndf.html) actually gave
me temporary improvement
in ES symptoms (although this might be due to the probiotics it contains).
However, taking pure chlorella tablets made me worse every time. I tried
multiple brands, and found that some were much worse than others (e.g, Sun
Chlorella was much worse than Earthrise).

Hello Marc,
no, not those, but similar.
They use symbols, like the BioProtect uses symbols.
The bewisepolarize uses the Lakhovsky/Bergstresser symbols.
I have them as antennas for my Lakhovsky Multiple Wave Oscillator.
They work fine, till your electrosensibility outgrows them.
Let us hope, that that will not come.
I have also many years of experience with electrosmog.

Yes, although I noticed on one of my older pendants, the
Lakhovsky symbol wore off, and yet it still functioned
perfectly. When I called the company, they denied that
the symbol had anything to do with how it worked, and they
also sell versions with different symbols:

http://www.emfsafe.com/polarizers/personal.htm

I think the internal contents of this item might be relevant,
as it appears that it might be orgone.

Also, I found someone simply selling the Lakhovsky symbol
by itself on a sticker, but when I purchased this I did
not notice anything from it (admittedly, I did not experiment
with this one very much):

http://home.earthlink.net/~gkuepper/index/Goldenratio.htm

But again, not all devices incorporate symbols -- the
Springlife Polarizers I currently use don't have any
symbols at all...

The problem with chlorella is, that is can enter nerves and cells being intracellular and able to pass the blood brain barrier. Trying such remedies can be quite risky, I have had some bad experiences with intracellular/-nerval chelators, I would say.
